Daphne Barak penned “Mama Sarah Obama: Our Dreams and Roots” in California in 2013. Mama Sarah is the paternal grandmother of the 44th president of the US, Barack H Obama.
Barak, with her life partner Erbil Gunasti, Director and Producer of the “Trump vs Hollywood” documentary film, respectively visited Mama Sarah at her home in Kenya twice before.
Obamas visited Barak and Gunasti in their residence in La Quinta, California in the summer of 2013. During their two months journey, not only an autobiography but also a cookbook on Kenya materialized.
Barack Obama was president of the US from 2008 to 2016.
